These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to services provided by Gotham Junk Removal (“we,” “us,” or “our”) and to your use of gothamjunkremoval.com. By booking a job or using our website, you agree to these Terms.
1. Our services
We provide junk removal, hauling, and cleanout services for residential and commercial customers in the Bronx, Westchester, and surrounding areas of New York. We reserve the right to decline any job.
2. Quotes and pricing
- Quotes given by phone, text, email, or from photos are estimates based on the information you provide.
- Your final price is confirmed on site by our crew before any work begins. You may decline the job at that time.
- Pricing is based on the volume of items, labor, and disposal costs.
- If items are added after the price is approved, the price may change to cover the additional items. We will tell you the new price before removing them.
- Extra charges may apply for heavy materials (such as concrete, dirt, or brick), items requiring special disposal, or jobs requiring extra labor, stairs, or long carries. We will tell you about these before starting.
3. Payment
Payment is due when the job is complete. We accept [cash, credit/debit cards, Zelle, Venmo, etc.]. Commercial accounts may be invoiced by agreement.
4. Scheduling and cancellations
- We will do our best to arrive within the scheduled time window. Traffic, weather, and earlier jobs may cause delays, and we will contact you if we are running late.
- Please give us at least [24 hours’] notice to cancel or reschedule. [Cancellations with less notice, or if our crew arrives and cannot access the items, may be charged a fee of $200.]
5. Your responsibilities
By booking a job, you confirm that:
- You own the items to be removed, or have permission from the owner to have them removed and disposed of.
- Our crew will have safe, clear access to the items and the property.
- You have arranged any building permission, elevator reservations, or parking our crew needs. If your building requires a certificate of insurance (COI), please request it when booking.
- You have removed any valuables, cash, personal documents, or items you want to keep. Once items are loaded onto our truck, they become our property and cannot be returned.
6. Items we cannot take
For safety and legal reasons, we do not remove hazardous materials, including:
- Paint, solvents, chemicals, pesticides, and fuel
- Propane tanks and pressurized containers
- Asbestos and asbestos-containing materials
- Medical waste, needles, and biohazards
- Ammunition, firearms, and explosives
- Any other item restricted by law
If hazardous items are found mixed in with a load, we may leave them behind or charge an extra fee for proper disposal.
7. Donation, recycling, and disposal
We try to donate or recycle usable items whenever possible. The decision of where items are taken is ours, and we cannot guarantee that any specific item will be donated or recycled.
8. Property damage
Our crew takes care to protect your property. If you believe something was damaged during a job, you must notify us within [48 hours] of the job’s completion, with photos if possible. We are not responsible for damage caused by pre-existing conditions, improper access, or items you asked us to move in a way we advised against.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim related to our services is limited to the amount you paid for that job. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
10. Website use
The content on this website is for general information. Prices, services, and service areas may change without notice. You agree not to misuse the site or submit false information through our forms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
